Making a 2022 Yidan Prize nomination: Everything you need to know about it

Who’s shaping the future of education?

Tell us about these changemakers, and we could help them on their way. The Yidan Prize is the world’s highest education accolade. Each year, we award the Yidan Prize to individuals or teams of up to three members in two areas: Education Research and Education Development.

Our prizes are designed for impact: Yidan Prize laureates receive a project fund of HK$15 million over three years, helping them scale up their work, as well as a gold medal, and a cash prize of HK$15 million (shared equally for teams). Laureates also join our Council of Luminaries, using their collective voice and wisdom to shape tomorrow’s education. We recognize changemakers already making an impact, and provide them with resources to amplify their reach.

Planning to nominate for the 2022 Yidan Prize?

We welcome nominations for the 2022 Yidan Prize from 19 October 2021 until 31 March 2022.

Watch our webinar to learn more about the prize, our laureates, and what our judges look out for in a laureate. Our Deputy Secretary-General, Ms Mabel Woo, walked through our nomination process, share tips to make a nomination stand out, and took questions at the session.

You can also learn more about nominations on this page and find answers to the frequently asked questions here. If you have any questions regarding the webinar or nominations, please reach us at nomination@yidanprize.org.
