Dr Charles CHEN Yidan, Founder of the Yidan Prize, in dialogue with Professor James J. Heckman, Nobel Prize-winning economist
As the COVID-19 pandemic continues across the world, distance and online learning has become the new normal in education and has brought issues of education effectiveness and inequality to the fore. Standing at a crossroads in human history, it is necessary for us to question and think about key issues in education systems: how to understand and respond to the development of digital education? In education, how do different stakeholders, including students, families, schools, and governments interact with each other? What are the causes of inequality in education and how can we address them? How will the anti-globalization trend and the pandemic affect international study?
