(23 January 2020, Dhaka) Dr Charles Chen Yidan, founder of the Yidan Prize visited Dhaka, Bangladesh this week to present the prestigious award. Sir Fazle Hasan Abed’s daughter and son accepted the award on his behalf at BRAC Head Office in Dhaka.
The Yidan Prize Foundation is deeply saddened to receive news that Sir Fazle Hasan ABED KCMG, Founder of BRAC passed away on 20 December 2019.
BRAC is a most impressive organisation founded in 1972 with Sir Fazle’s belief that dignity and value of every human being should be cherished.
BRAC’s Play Lab projects demonstrate that the poorest and most vulnerable children can have access to quality and affordable Early Childhood Education. The emerging evidence on the importance of play on learning has tremendous implications for children globally.
