Over 800 educators, researchers, policymakers, and youth from 53 countries gathered in Hong Kong for the 2025 Yidan Prize Summit to exchange meaningful dialogue on the future of education — including SCMP Young Post’s student writers, Kelina Ching Li-tsz and Mollie Mei Yufan.

They heard from three Yidan Prize laureates, who shared the turning point moments that shaped their journeys, as well as an interactive panel moderated by Olympian-turned-educator and Project Melo mentor Yvette Kong, alongside Project Melo Fellow Anna Yao. This conversation between laureates and young changemakers sent a powerful message: lasting progress in education begins when every voice — especially those of the next generation — is heard, valued, and empowered.
