A lecturer at Hong Kong Baptist University, Dr Simon Wong reflects on how local educators can learn from ‘Can’t Wait to Learn’, an evidence-based intervention developed by War Child Alliance.
He highlights ‘Can’t Wait to Learn’ as a technology that “enhances rather than disrupts educational pathways” — suggesting Hong Kong’s paper-based exams could go digital, too. That way, students who already use technology for learning can prepare effectively for formal assessments.
He also notes the importance of evidence-based solutions, where data collection can lead to informed decision-making about implementing technologies in schools.
