No matter what the future holds, education paves the way

Education is the foundation of human flourishing. Technology, geo-politics, and demographics change — now faster than ever — but that truth remains constant.

So how do we keep that idea at the center of a changing world? And what paths can we create so education systems can be resilient and outpace the extraordinary speed of change?

Themed ‘Education at a crossroads: co-creating paths forward for a brighter future’, this year’s Summit explored the challenges and opportunities at the intersection of education, technology, and social change. And through mutual learning and collaboration, start plotting pathways toward a brighter future.

At this crossroads, change is not only possible — it is imperative

Cultivating leaders and building resilient, innovative systems means rethinking every aspect of education. We examined pressing issues, including:

  • how education can help steer us to a more equitable, hopeful world
  • the skills and mindsets that will support the next generation to thrive through uncertainty
  • how to translate dialogue into diverse pathways and action across sectors

In case you missed it, Lucy Lake, our Director of Global Engagement and 2020 Yidan Prize for Education Development Laureate, shared five key takeaways from the 2025 Yidan Prize Summit. You can also watch the highlights.
